Geez nice gift. I would think that anyone who has enough money laying around to just go buy a $60,000 car as a gift would have plenty of money to blow on clothes or whatever else he or she desired.

Sure there are endless ways to blow money, we always buy something at the sacrifice of buying something else, right? I doubt I will ever have so much money where that wouldn't bet the case. And if one could buy anything he wants whenever he wants it, I'd imagine it kind of takes the excitement out of indulgence.

It is at that point that one switches his or her consuming needs from the easily acquired but expensive things to the hard or nigh impossible to acquire things... I hope the car was everything she wanted[IMG]

Yes, I'd say that's accurate. [IMG]

Thanks, she's very happy with it.

Very nice. 57 pounds is what, around $40? Sounds like a good deal.

    $92 at todays rates.

I thought it was that direction, but the first time I Googled it, I found something that said .682. Being more clear in my search I find 1.60. Whoops.

Actually (like the Charles Tyrwhitt site) they list their prices in dollars if you log in to the non-UK version of the site, so I think the purchase price is constant no matter the exchange rate. When I ordered it it clearly said $79.99 plus $4 for handling and insurance. It hasn't gone through my credit card yet, but my order confirmation was clearly in dollars. I just think that the link I copied is defaulting to pounds for some reason.

They have some other neat color combos like black with red or blue suede too. I just hope the quality is as good as it appears on the site, I couldn't find much about the brand around SF or the web.
