I haven't worn a black shoe in 6 months.

I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. All the black shoes I had before SF are terrible, and I haven't had any itch to buy black shoes since joining SF. I've worn burgundy longwings with black pants when other pants were being laundered, but that's as close as I came to black shoes.

Thoughts?

I'm over black shoes, they're unnecessary in my opinion. I only own one pair of black shoes, and the last time I wore them was over a year ago.

I've given away all but one pair of black shoes and I haven't worn them for more than a year. Thank you, SF!

O god....This isn't going to go to the level of the black suit debate is it?

ZZZZ......

This forum sure is scared of the "color" black....but anyways, I certainly have quite a bit more brown, burgundy, and all colors inbetween and I agree they by themselves do look so much nicer, but there is nothing wrong with a black shoe. A black shoe has its place and can be done well, easily, and in a fair amount of cases it's just a matter of personal taste.

Just my thoughts since you asked.

I still find use for black shoes. I think a pair should always be kept in the arsenal.

From what I've read on this forum, black shoes are relegated to job interviews, funerals, and black tie events....

That being said, I also haven't worn any to work... but then again I don't wear pants that would look good with them (being that I only wear tans, khakis, browns, olives, etc to work)

Do you guys think this is a "group-think" phenomenon, or is this a common style sentiment in men's fashion? Cuz, you know, I like my black shoes.
