I have a pretty strong prescription, but I saw these glasses and I liked them. Do you think the lens will be too thick due to the size of the glasses? Will the frame be able to 'hide' the thickness?

My current glasses have a shape similar to these, but I am opting for a different look this time.

There are different materials they can use for the lenses now, some are very thin regardless of your prescription. They can get very $$.

The coke bottle look is more pronounced on round frames.

What is your correction? I'm pretty myopic (average -6 between the two eyes), and these:

Have negligible thickness at the edge. They overlap the wire frame a mm or two. You got to specify high index lenses (1.67 or 1.7), though.

Poaster above is mistaken. The rounder the shape, the less visible a strong correction will be. It's the corners where that shit sticks out.
