Still need to get my wife to take photos of the Persol 2877v's. But now I'm obsessed.

Since these are transitions, they don't really darken in the car. So now I need cheap(er), prescription sunglasses. And nothing compares to the Persols.

I searched around for some other Persols and found these.

They purport to be Persol 2548s, which I can't find any other mention of the frame style anywhere. Plus, the Persol logo is on the temple and not the arrow design.

But if I could score them for a decent bid, I could easily have prescription sunglasses lenses put in them.

I have seen some Persols which don't have the silver arrow design on it. But I've never seen any with the logo on them. Is this perhaps an older frame?

These look like a similar style:

Thoughts? These would be for driving only. I'm not too hung up on them being knockoffs if they are, but I'd like to know.

My commenting is rather sublime, isn't it?

The 1-900 number for my fanclub can be found on page 1 of the Jul/Aug 1988 edition of Nintendo Power magazine. The call is only 99 cents a minute. Kids, remember to ask your parents!

I got a good deal on these a few weeks ago off ebay. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on them.

I've worn tortoise shell for the past 5 years or so and really enjoy the look.

Can't wait to get my lasik done this summer. I've avoided sunglasses my entire life because prescriptions are such a hassle (and my lenses would probably turn out thick and ugly anyway).

So sitting around by the pool in 50 degree, overcast weather, listening to chicks talk about the sex and the city movie and give empty compliments to each other... It's going to be some sort of gigantic epiphany that turns my entire dislike of ****** music on its ear? How is that even possible?

What color frame? Polarized or photochromic?

i think the chrome sapphire and the steel/chrome graphite are both photochromic. they have similar versions that are polarized though.

I have the chrome sapphire mosleys, easily my favorite pair of sunglasses.

However, there are plenty of times where I regret not going with w/ the blue gradient lenses instead. EX. At work I travel between different buildings a lot, so for the 2-3 minute walks between buildings the lenses are just starting to darken. So they're really light and I don't like it when people can clearly see my eyeballs through my sunglasses.

The blue gradient (polarized) lenses are better optically speaking because they are polarized. However they aren't as aesthetically appealing (no mirror finish).

If I am outside all day, I wear my trusty Smiths. Will never be without another pair as long as I live.

For my more urbane adventures, I have a pair of stylish RayBans and some Serengetis.

Though I just noticed Costco had some Maui Jims for a bout a hundred bucks yesterday when I was buying dog food and coffee beans...
