I've hot soaked New Standards twice but the waist (just the part with belt loops) is not shrinking!

    ???

Uh, are you talking about a fresh pair of NS or a worn pair of NS? A fresh pair shouldn't be shrinking much if at all. A worn pair should.

can anyone recommend a raw/selvedge jean similar to APC Rescues? I would like them to have similar cut, quality and fading properties... but without the excessive stretching of the waist.

I liked my Rescues and ended up loving the straight leg jeans they have at Uniqlo. Cut is fairly similar, perhaps a little slimmer but I did pick them up in HK so it might just be regional. Rate of fading is about the same and the waist hasn't stretched nearly as much. Overall, less stretching, just enough to make it into a really nicely-fitting pair of jeans in my opinion.

How can I stretch out a pair of RRDS? I have a pair that I've been working on for 8 months now, they've been washed twice so far. I've been working in the arctic for the past month and the jeans keep getting tighter. I'm gaining a lot of weight in my legs from the job. They are starting to fit quite snug in the quads and upper block.

If I wash them again and then wear them while wet until they dry, will they stretch out?

What's the easiest way to freshen up some raw denim? I've got about 2 months wear on my pair and they're getting a bit of a musk.

turn 'em inside-out, lightly spray some fabreeze anti-bacterial around balls-ass-crotchal region, hang to dry where some air circulates. if they're real stanky, throw 'em in a ziplock and then in the freezer for day.

Cheers, man. I should post a pic up soon (especially since semi-lurking for ages), they're some G-Star Raw style. (Wanted to get NS, but none in Sydney that I could find. These were heavily reduced.)

One worn for about a month.
Either they haven't stretched much from wear, you didn't size down enough to begin with, or... [IMG] In a hot wash and dryer, those things (hell, most/all jeans) will shrink back.
Im wondering if someone could help me.

Im looking to buy a pair of PBJ XX-007 and I read that they could be had for below 230 dollars new. Could someone tell me where I could order online for a pair besides BiG.

    Thanks

I think I may've just lost some weight!

I tried on KMW 1950s today.

Sized down one in waist, so they were a touch tight but not APC-OMG-I-CAN'T-BUTTON-THIS-SHIT constricting.

They ended up making my thighs look all balloony (for some reason they reminded me of the Flat Head fit pics over at SelfEdge, sorry kiya!). I liked the calf area, not as fitted as my APC NS. Should I get them and hope the waist stretches for a more natural look or should I go true-to-size? Or maybe go KMW 2010s? Pics of me can be found by looking at my previous posts.

they stretched about an inch for me (.5" when you're measuring it BiG method) and i wasn't really doing anything physically hardcore in them, other than SAT's -_____-

Does anyone ever only soak the legs of the jeans? (to preserve the thighs)

    New KMW 1950s.

The top block is fairly tight, although no tighter than my APCs on their first day. Anyone with experience on how this fit will stretch? Should I return and size one up?
