I'm a bit of a noob to denim, so:

If money is no issue, what pair of straight leg jeans should I buy?

    Please specify why.

I came across these Uniqlo jeans on ebay.

Any comments regarding quality, fading, price etc. I am looking for slim straight something like 3sixteen straight. How would these fit in comparison. The rise is mentioned as 9.3 inches on a 34 size. I was hoping that it is incorrect and the knee is mentioned rather than the rise. Are they very low rise ?

    Thanks for your answers

    thats probably the rise

how is the quality of Acne jeans?
I have a couple pairs of Acne raw denim in the Mic fit that I am very happy with. They fit great and are well constructed. The denim is not selvage but seems to be very good quaility. They are definitely a step up from APC's.

I don't like button flies so Acne Mics are a good choice for me. If you want a pair of Acne jeans that is washed I would stick to something simple and lightly faded because some of the more heavily washed or distressed pairs don't look very natural.

All that being said, I would not pay retail for Acne. You can usually find good deals on them at Yoox, Bluefly, Revolve or Ebay.

Many of the brands mentioned on this forum may be better quailty than Acne but that comes at a price. It really depends what you want in a pair of jeans.

I bought 2 pairs of levis selvage denim from ebay, one is a 501 cinch back lvc, and the other is red tab BIG E.

Although both have selvage lines they dont have the paper rear patches levis jeans usually have.

    Are these fake?

Some levis vintage clothing jeans have leather patches, and personally I find these desireable

I had a question about which pair of jeans to buy. I currently own imperial dukes and i love them, but i'm looking to get another pair, and here are the criteria: slim (small leg opening for sure), relatively roomy around the thighs, strong fading properties, super durable (hopefully should last for a long time). i'm thinking of the following:

    1. Flat Head 1001
    2. Flat Head Slim Tapered, SE05BSP
    3. Iron Heart Slim, 301S
    4. Strike Gold, SG1105

Between the two flat heads, I know that the 1001 is made from the same denim as the SE FH collabo, is that better denim than on the SE05BSP? Overall which one would you guys select? Thanks!

reposting because i had no responses. if you all have any thoughts id really appreciate any guidance, thanks!

Can someone recommend a raw jean for under $200 that fits in between A.P.C New Cure and New Standard? Also I prefer minimal details a la A.P.C.
