I think he was getting at, straight leg=No taper. So you mean slight taper (not straight leg).

No, but I'm interested too. Suggest you diversify...

I actually just found that thread after posting my question. Definitely want to try them now, the guy sounds like someone who really deserves the support.

Oh you think I haven't? I've also browsed every Japanese brand that I know of's native language website and checked all the Japanese online retailers I could find. I just would like some recommendations!

    Also: Does PBJ maintain slub?

what do you mean maintain slub

I've heard that the jeans will become more uniform and smooth over time. I specifically WANT imperfection and graininess to remain even after washes and hard wear.

I am looking for two pairs of jeans: a dark and medium one.

I have never spent more than $75 on a pair of jeans, but the more and more I look at this forum, magazines, and even people, I realize that it's probably the reason I have not been happy with my jean choices.

I'm 5'11 170 with a 32 inch waist. I have muscular legs, but no enormously muscular. Slim fit jeans are definitely going to be too tight.

I want a dress jean (preferably dark) that I can wear with Desert Boots and even some Oxfords/AE dress shoes if need be.

I also want a more casual jean...one that I can flip flop from wearing a pair of Stan Smith's to my Desert Boots.

I would like to spend less than $200 for each pair. Based on my measurements and preferences, what's my best bet? Thanks.

I'm having a really hard time finding a pair of rrl raw straights that are a true 30 waist. I've been to the rrl on Melrose, the polo store in south coast plaza, and american rag. No luck. Everything measured out 32 or above. Anybody have any suggestions for similar looking/fitting denim from another brand? I have one pair, and they've become my favorite jeans.

best bet is here, I'm assuming you're talking about raw denim:

take measurements of jeans you own that fit you well, then compare to measurements of jeans you're interested in.
