Just bought this. What is it? Does EG have different lines?

Yup. Workaday is an line designed by Daiki Suzuki, exclusively available at Odin NYC. Same build quality and fit as regular EG, but there's usually an extra detail here and there.

Brief mention of the line here: http://men.style.com/news/blog/2008/08/fit-club.html

You can also do a search in the Engineered Garments FW 08 and SS 09 threads on here for more details.

Sounds quite enticing. Colour? Do the 34s run long? i.e. will I need to cuff/hem them? Will PayPal be alright with the whole currency conversion? That's about £75 on my end - which is superb. Thanks for the help mate, I'll probably be buying these. W-w-wait I just checked these on Google and they don't look all that slim. Will you be able to get pics soon? The rigids seem more my taste...
These are the mic rigids. They are more of a slim straight then a taper, (the leg opening is like 7 and 3/4 inches) i dont have a camera right now but i should be able to get some phone pics up. Paypal is fine. Edit: it's this exact pair, bought from this site: http://eluxury.com/estore/browse/pro...sp?id=12080458

I'm looking at some APC Rescues. The only pair of jeans I have that fits well is a pair of 30x32 levi 501s in a dark wash. The waist on those measure 16 measured BiG style. I'm 5' 9", 155 lbs (skinny/athletic).

What size Rescues would be good for me?

There's also a pair of Jean Shop Rockers in the FS section. Anybody have some info on these? I know it's a straight, nonskinny, nonrelaxed cut which is what I'm looking for. Any info on stretching?

If a 32" waist fits you comfortably that you'll want to go down at least two, possibly three sizes on your APC Rescues. I'd probably get a 29 from Farinelli's, figure out if it works for you, and mail it in for an exchange if need be.

I actually just went ahead and bought a pair of Rescues in 30 from the FS section. The seller said the waist measured 32" which is exactly what my Levi's measure.

So, next question, what should I do about the length? I'm definitely going to need a shorter inseam, probably about a 31", but that depends on the rise I guess. Soak first? Hot? Cold? Hang to dry right?

I don't know what the length is now but it won't shrink much in a wash. You'll probably have to have them hemmed to 31". I have no idea how much wear the pair you have has but if they haven't touched water yet I'd probably give them a cold soak assuming they aren't brand new.

If you wear a 30 in Levi's, a 30 in APC is going to be too loose, especially in the Rescue cut. I wear a 30 in Levi's and anything above a 28 in APC would be falling off post-stretch without a belt.

The pair I bought has very few ("5-7") wears, I'll check with the seller about whether or not he soaked them.

As far as stretching - if they measure 32 now, which would fit snug, but not tight, on my waist, would they actually stretch much beyond that? I should just barely be able to get the top button buttoned correct?

First, maybe he doesn't mind a loose-ish fit. Nothing wrong wit it.

Second, if they start out somewhat relaxed, they're not going to stretch as much of a pair of NS that you can barely button.

And I keep hearing 'falling off without a belt' like it's a bad thing. My Jean Shops (almost) do this, and are my favorite pair right now.

Again, there's too much else to think about, clothes-related or otherwise, to spend all this time obsessing over finding a 'perfect fit' (although I've been guilty of that in the past).

That is a bad thing. Nothing, and I mean nothing is worse than the dreaded pseudo-boner. A tiny bit too big without a belt is fine. But any more, and you're stepping into risky territory. All this vanity fit shit confuses me, mayne.

You're right the pseudo-stiff is wack, but mine don't do that. If you fill the thighs/azz enough, it's not an issue. But he said he was skinny, so it's probably not for him...

I am looking to buy a pair of either APC New Standard or Petit Standard and I am trying to figure out which one to pick and what size to buy. I'm 5'4" 120lbs and normally wear a 28, but even 28's sit ever so slightly low on me and are always too long. The description of the petit's says they're cut for slender builds but I'm not entirely sure why that is. Anyways I'd like the jeans to be slim but not tight. Any thoughts? Also since the jean's will almost certainly too long is it possible to alter the length (most likely 5 or so inches for 34L) while preserving the hem and fit?
