1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I am at almost 6 months with my Rockers.. I am wanting something new and different. I don't have a lot of exposure to jeans, and basically skipped the APC/Crate intro and was lucky enough for KMW to be my introduction to nicer denim.

I sort of like the idea of a repro-cut but don't want something too anti-fit boxy. Does anyone have any good repro suggestions for something slimmish, sort of in between a 501 cut , and the slim tapered look of my KMW's?

I had sort of thought LVC 505's maybe, or Leepros. I really am just not sure. I realize a person with 3500 posts shouldn't be asking such simple silly questions but hell what do you do.

Have you considered Japanese brands? (Samurai in particular)

I am very new to the denim thing, at least THIS denim thing. I am a pretty conservative 47 year old guy. I wear lots of jeans on the weekend, usually with Sperry type shoes or sneakers of all kinds. All I have right now are Levi's standard stuff, a couple 501s and a couple of 505s. What else is out there that would be good for me? I don't like ripped, dont' care for stylized pockets and labels, and I really don't like the ones that look like they were marinated in tea or mud. Just straight up, high quality, denim jeans. I am around a 35 waist with a 34 inseam, if that is relevant. Thanks, guys from an eager newbie!

sounds like you would enjoy a pair of dark raw denim jeans. Seriously just click on the affilliates and you can find pictures, measurements, and prices for a lot of different stuff, that is the easiest way to find what you like. You can also look through all of the different threads that already have the answers that you are looking for. good luck.

Could anyone tell me, out of curiousity, how the Levis 501 fit compares to Gap's Standard fit jeans, in terms of rise, looseness, etc?

Also, are there are Levis that fit like the 527s but without the bootcut? I used to wear nothing but 527s, but I grew sick of the bootcut leg opening a year ago or so.

[IMG] [IMG] ^So that's me in NS and NC, respectively. The NS are 28, the NC are 30, but I wore them with a belt so they only stretched to the size a 29 normally would. You guys think SExSC06's would be a good fit, maybe looser than the NC but a little slimmer than the NS? What size would I want for that type of fit? All this unsanforized bidnis is confusing.

    Anyone? Thanks
I'm looking at a pair of RRL jeans, some quick questions.. 1. What is the fit like on RRL? I usually wear a 28 Slim Jim and 28 New Cure (I like something slim or straight like the SJ's), how do these compare? (also in a 28) 2. What kind of quality are they? 3. Do you think they're worth about $100? I'm looking at a white pair... PS - Are white jeans just a bad idea? like faddy, or just for summer. PPS - should white denim be looser then normal indigo?
Also - What do the RB15's fit like?? how would a 28 in rb15 compare to the above slim jim or new cure in a 28? Thanks
