    thanks
It's only water and it's only cotton. For the sake of the argument let's say they become stiff as a board because of your HARD water. What happens when you wear starched jeans for a couple of minutes?

I know nothing about jeans other than growing up with Wranglers and Levi.

Is there anything else better? I did buy some brand name jean a few years back and they were around $78 and did not last very long.

I thought the higher the price the better quality it was. I was wrong on that one.

ok whats the consensus on sizing down on KMW 1980s. i always have bad luck sizing down so im scared. i am between 31 and 32 in most pants..... I wear 30s in APC NS. Would i be better off with 31s or 32s?

I tried on some 31s and they are pretty snug in the waist. tho not too bad everywhere else...

some of my fav prewash jeans stretched from 31s to almost 34s...

Plenty better. Take a look at our affiliate websites for brands like 5EP, RRL, Crate, Spurr, Jean Shop, Flat Head, Dry Bones, etc. etc. etc.

I need a reco for some "cool" jeans in size 40. I have searched most of the jeans listed on this thread, but they only go up to 38 and are built for really skinny kids. I currently wear Lucky Brand, but want to upgrade. Please no cracks about size 40, I have been the same size since HS football despite going up or going down in weight.

I've been wearing Levi's 514 but the thigh in them is a little big. I also have a pair of Levi's 512 (which I actually haven't found sold anywhere else) and the thigh is perfect but the bootcut is too much. I've asked around and people have told me APC NS is a good alternative and I had tried on Levi's 511 but it was pretty tight at the hem. Does anyone know of any other options? I'm quite tall and wear a 31x34 if that matters.

Not sure if LVC goes up to that size (they might if regular 501 STFs go up and higher). Another alternative would be custom jeans; Crate would be a good route for that as they could work with you on the cut and would use Cone selvage. You can call or email Secret Service (home of Crate) for that info as they're also affiliates

I want to get a pair of raw denim. The problme is I need a pair roomy pockets to conceal a licensed firearm. Every pair I have tried on has to shallow of a pocket or the jeans are just to tight to fit the firearm. Any thoughts on a brand that I can achieve this? I'm 5'10", 175 lbs. The gun is a Keltec 380. Pretty small.

Do any of them sell at retail joints? I do not shop online as of yet.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

My god for the life of me I know there is a brand of jeans to do just that but forgot the band name.

Let it stew in my head a bit andI'll get back to ya on it....

I could be mistaken but the jeans I am thinking of are also worn by Hollywood fall guy stunt actors.

Alright one other quick question. I just received in the mail my pair of Nudie SSDS, and boy are they tight in the waist (I expected this though, and I know they will stretch out so I'm not too worried about that).

What I am worried about though is the length. How much do Nudies shrink when they are washed the first time? I usually wear a 32-32.5 length, and the jeans I got were 34 length and I want to get them hemmed. I'm just worried about going too small that when I wash them 6 months down the line I'll have high water pants...

Any recommendations for how short to get them hemmed? Also, what would be a good place for hemming? Since they are selvage and raw, I don't know if most tailors have experience with these types of pants, but I am also sorely new at this so I really haven't a clue. I was just thinking of taking them to Nordstrom.

You conceal your firearm in your pocket? Rag&Bone has some pretty big pockets, maybe you can find the old rb6 since it seems like they've gone slimmer these days. I'm still kind of confused why you're not holstering it but...

It'd help to know where you live and from there we can give you retail location advice.

    1) Wear your jeans for a few days so that they break in. Creases need to be set before you hem otherwise you'll be playing sort of a guessing game as to whether you're hemming them to long or short.
    2) Nudies shrink minimally lengthwise. You can still stretch them while wet but even then I think it's negligible.
    3) How short is up to you and how you normally wear your jeans. The hem is a bit too big in my opinion for much stacking or no break. Best place? If you're anal you can send them into hollywood trading company in LA or find a place to chainstitch them. I wouldn't worry about it, Nordstroms would be fine.
