There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I have a $100 Macy's gift card. What should I spend it on? (NYC In-Store or Online)

BTW I live in NYC so I can go to the flagship Macy's Herald Square where they carry some nicer things such as a select few Allen Edmonds models (I'd be better off buying them elsewhere though).

I am DESPERATELY in need of a new pair of shoes that fit me; I'm around a 7.5-8.0 E/D split width, and I have forgotten it feels to wear shoes that fit. Perhaps some cheap (nice-ish) low-end shoes--a pair of full-grain leather Bostonian, Johnston & Murphy, or Florsheim boots that look nice and can last me a year or two? It's been ages since I've gone shopping for brand new shoes, so I'm assuming the brands Macy's carry are still as crappy as they were five years ago. Regardless, because of my unusual requirements, it comes down to how well the shoes fit.

On the other hand, I was also considering holding off until the winter coats come in, and using this to get me $100 off of a more stylish 3/4 length topcoat (probably Calvin Klein or something) as my heaviest winter topcoat was ruined, and the rest of my coats aren't warm enough for below-zero temperatures + the wind being whipped around by the tall buildings, as I discovered last winter. Not sure how warm their coats will be, given the lack of quality of the rest of their inventory.

The single thing I want the most is a suit that fits me, but given my weight fluctuation (recently, and projected) I doubt any suit, even a cheap one, would be a worthy investment. But now that I think about it, I wonder how their return policy is? Although it's not like I'll be able to find a suit for $100 or less, and I can't justify spending $200-300 on a suit from Macy's (assuming I find one that fits, which is a huge challenge by itself).

I've only lived in NYC for two years (one of which didn't count because I wasn't able to go anywhere) so I was hoping there might be a thing or two about Macy's Herald Square that a veteran New Yorker and SFer might know and find useful.

    Cheers :)
