I HATE UPS!

Sent a birthday present to my sister in the UK. UPS somehow decided it was OK to just give it to a neighbor who lost it. Why the hell does UPS think it's OK to hand over my packages to anyone other than the recipient? I never left any instructions allowing them to give it to a neighbor. Is there any recourse here? I'm truly pissed at UPS right now for being so irresponsible - they should have held it at the depot for pickup if no one was home.

They left it at the neighbor so that they would not have to go back the next day to attempt to deliver it.
It seems that your sister's neighbor is a bit of an idiot to "lose" a package.

Recourse? Did you have insurance?
