First things first, I hate my feet. They're way too wide and my left foot is an entire size bigger than my right foot. My at home measurements indicate that my left foot is 10 3/4 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide -- according to a chart I found on the internet this should be a 10.5 EEE. My right foot measures in at 10 3/8 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide -- equating to a 9.5 EEE. I've recently purchased two pairs of Allen Edmonds (Strands and Park Ave.) in a 9.5EEE and 10E which I've had to return due to my feet being in constant pain after wearing them for more than an hour. I should note that the 9.5EEE actually fit my right foot perfectly, but my pinky toe on my left foot was in constant pain wearing a 9.5EEE. I called Allen Edmonds support and they suggested that due to my unique feet characteristics, custom MTO shoes in two different sizes would be the only surefire way to solve my issue. Is this really my only/best option? Are Allen Edmonds custom/MTO shoes good value for the money? What other brands (and lasts) should I be looking at given my unique feet characteristics if I got the MTO route? Thanks for the help everyone!
