I don't get it, why buy a €5000 Brioni or Kiton suit when you can go bespoke?

    That may be truer for one your age than mine. But yes, I get your point. Today Brioni means high-quality ready-to-wear. Still, the brand capitalizes on its bespoke past in many ways. I doubt there are many who buy Brioni who are unaware of the firm's history on at least a superficial level.


    Personally I'm happy that Richard doesn't insist on adding hand-beading to my suits. ;)

    For their really high value clientele, It's "brand whoring" in the same way that I was brandwhoring when I bought my Honda Odyssey.
