Well, lightning struck again this week! I posted 2 weeks ago about the Oxxford Crest and Golden Fleece suits I found plus the Antonio Liverano navy blazer, all at ridiculous prices. But I still haven't been able to find that light tan summer suit that I have been searching for for the last 6 months, until today. Once again, I walk into my Neiman's Last Call here in Denver, not expecting to find anything new, when in the corner of the suit rack I find a wrinkled up tan Brioni 150's DB suit. I had never seen this one before in all of my trips. I assumed from the way it was positioned that someone was trying to hide it. I look at the price and it has been marked down from $4,000 to $800. I was probably willing to pay that, but since I received an additional discount at the Phoenix store a couple of weeks ago on my Oxxford, I thought I would ask. Sure enough, I got an additional 25% since there was another round of markdowns coming, making my NWT Brioni suit $370! I just couldn't believe my goodfortune. In addition, last week at the Nordstrom's Last Chance store in Phoenix I scored a HSM Gold Trumpeter suit for $40. Not quite a Brioni, but a great deal on a workhorse suit none the less.

So in the last 2 weeks I have bought over $13,000 worth of clothing for just under $2,000. And the great thing is is that it is all basic stuff that I have been looking for for quite sometime. Anyway, thanks to the Forum again for letting me share my sartorial goodfortune with someone that can appreciate it.

Sounds great... Quite the haul you've made there. Really nice of them to reduce the price even though the markdowns hadn't happened yet.

I would not have known about it if it weren't for your comments in a previous post so thank you. It is one of the best fitting coats I have ever put on. Normally I have to have the sides taken in and the collar lowered but with this, shortening the sleeves was all I had to do. It just fits perfectly. I will pick it up from the tailor this week so I haven't worn it yet but I love the fabric and everything about it. I bought it at the off 5th Ave in Tempe. It had just come in. The Oxxford suit I bought was at NM last call in Tempe and the Brioni was here in Denver at Last Call.

As someone who can't get a decent fit OTR, I'm intensely jealous! Enjoy your finds!!

I am unaware of a Phoenix/Scottsdale NM Last Call. Both Saks off 5th and NM Last Call are, I believe in S Tempe or N Chandler just in the intersection of the 10 and the 60 to Mesa. However I have only been here a year and could easily be mistaken.

    that's fantastic, but...doesn't 25% off $800 come out to $600?

Yes, but I got the additional 25% off of the $1560 that was the original Last Call price, making it 75% off of that price.[IMG]
