Hello there,

I am in Hong Kong for a week next week on business and I'd love to get a beautiful pair of shoes made for me. My price is about $400-$600 and I want to get some nice brown ones and black ones.

Where would you recommend I go? I dislike the Nathan road people, so please avoid directing me there!

Also, I really am new to this. What should I look out for, or even ask for? I do not have an eye for quality shoes, but I wish to learn and most importantly look stylish.

I am 28 years old if it is useful information

(a search in this forum didn't turn up much)

I don't think HK is really where yu should be looking for bespoke shoes. It's more of a tailoring city than shoes. Get some shirts and satisfy your bespoke shoe cravings in that price range in Prague.

Unless you have a very difficult time wearing ready-made shoes, I recommend to use that budget to get a good pair of Crockett & Jones or other English maker. You can find a lot of excellent shoes that fit your price range.

In Hong Kong...get shirts!

Haha thank you for your advise.

I live in England so perhaps I should pick up some John Lobb ready made shoes?

I have plenty of tailored shirts already! I am tempted to get a trench or peacoat tailored for me - again I am not sure by who though
