"Live within your means" is a concept that people can't seem to grasp these days.
you said it, but what is one to do when the wants outweigh the means?

I have a friend with over $100K in debt and he doesn't even own a house. He thinks there is nothing wrong with having a new Lotus, an M5, 2 Ducati's, an ATV, shops only at NM and takes trips whenever/where ever while earning only 65K a year.
Jesus.... I understand credit card companies will give ANYONE credit b/c it will eventually catch up with them.... but how did this kid get 100K worth of credit? That's insane.

**** how did he manage to get all of that credit making 65k a year and without owning a house. Tell me more so I can do the same hehe

This could be a writer's embellishment. I mean, an M5 is about 80k. Unless parents are helping, there is the end of what the kid can finance. I have never heard of someone being financed with unsecured credit for 180% of their income.
