I am a better stylist than Kyle/Conceptual @est, and here, I'll show that it's true (and so can you)

A CONTEST THREAD.

I got the No Man Walks Alone newsletter today, and frankly, I can do better. For those who haven't gotten it, I'll repost Kyle's attempts later, but a lot of his work can be seen here:
http://www.styleforum.net/t/358758/...ficial-affiliate-thread/22800_50#post_7859033

I talked to @conceptual 4est , and he has agreed to let me do some styling, and to open it up to everyone. There is a $100 gift certificate at stake. I'll let Kyle tell you the rules, but basically, you have to not just beat Kyle, but also, beat out other entries, to win.

Um, and Kyle will scurry around actually styling the mannequin so that we can see what the pieces, put together, look like. This allows us to really make Kyle sing for his supper.

I dunno when the entry period is, but at the end of that, I'll put up a poll. No Man Walks Alone vs. Fok vs. whoever else wants a turn at this.

Here is my more "street" thing.

1) Trucker jacket from Robert Geller:

2) Ts(s) khaki scarf (I have this thing, and pair it regularly with black outerwear):

3) Eototo Souvenir tee shirt (that eye sorta freaks me out in a good way).

http://www.nomanwalksalone.com/index.php/clothing/t-shirts/souvenir-t-shirt-ash-grey.html

4) Niche Cords, sized up 1 for that slouch.

5) Farnese bi-material belt in a cool new color:

6) Buttero high tops:

Since this is not a sponsored contest, I am totally in the competition. Please vote for me and help me win nearly enough to get another belt.

So, in a nutshell, here is what's going on:

We'd love to see what you guys come up with for something styled with pieces on the site. Fok is very confident that he can out-style us all, but I know there is some strong competition out there and I want to see him humbled. (don't we all?)

So I ask that you browse the NMWA site, pick out a few items to complete an outfit, and post them here with images and links to the items. Feel free to give a bit of background or story (like Fok above, or specific styling instructions (stole as a skirt? shoes on hands?), but it isn't at all necessary. I figure it goes without saying, but please keep items limited to those available from No Man Walks Alone.

The deadline for submissions is end-of-day Monday, May 25th, and on Tuesday we'll pick the top 5 entries and I'll have to scurry around like a madman putting them together on a mannequin or in some other cohesive way, and photograph the looks for you guys.

We'll then open up a poll where you guys can vote on the best styled look and the winner will receive $100 in store credit to No Man Walks Alone.

The top entries will also be featured in the newsletter!

I think this should cover all of it, but feel free to ask any questions and I can update this post. Now get to shaming Fok and me!
