    Yeah, ´twas the lure of the 90% discount. I´ve mended my ways now, and keep these so I will never forget.

    I bought them in Birmingham, UK, when I studied there. The brand is Jones Bootmaker, and they were reduced from £200 to £20.

    My first "serious" shoes, for a given value of "serious".

    Yes I did. But now they´ve been sitting in a closet for eight or nine years. Perhaps it´s time to make a statement. What the statement would be, I´ve no idea.

    Yeah, It was a cheap lesson. I think I could get away with using shoes like those when I was in my early twenties, but not any more.

    Not saying I would ever get near those, but I could see someone in Hollywood in their late teen's/early 20's pulling those off.
