my old MTO was Eduardo de Simone, new one is Portugal no idea who, the lapel buttonhole is machine made now, can't really tell much else since I don't really care as long as I can't tell it's bad (for the record I don't even know why my bespoke is that better without taking it apart from pure construction stand point of view, though it does fit superior to everything)

RTW is a mix of italy and portugal right?

I'm thinking about getting these trousers but I'm concerned about how to style them. I have some mustard colored pants that I never wear because I don't know what to pair them with.

I would appreciate your thoughts and ideas.

I would like to know too. I just got a "light" prince of wales suit frome the Italian production (I guess it could one of the last ever produced Husbands suits over there) and i'm thinking ordering a jacket, but know idea if it will be the same quality. I guess it will, but i would love to see some insight

I mean it's still fully canvassed, same fabric, machine buttonhole on lapel is none issue for me (no idea about sleeve), I was under the impression Eduardo de Simon does hand attached collar, but never even bother to turn over to check, so no idea about the new one either, I'm buying style anyway.

Only difference I could feel the new one feels over all "softer" but my older one is heavier weight fabric and different model so could be due to that.

why don't you email them to ask what difference are

Just ordered a pair myself, will probably wear them like khakis.

I've noticed that RL Polo tailoring is now a mix of Italian-made, and Poritugese-made. It seems to be a common source for continential tailoring.

Thanks for your feedback.

I did ask about the new factory in Portugal and told them I was a bit skeptical about it. They tried to reassure me saying the Portugal factory matches their standards but I will ask if they can give more specifics about what is not done by hand anymore.

FYI, they also changed the factory in Italy for the RTW (it’s still located there but it’s a different one).

I just received my second commission from Husbands (a Ferry jacket), an order I placed sometime in mid July. Very speedy turnaround. I'll post some pictures when I get around to it.

I am perhaps far less attuned to minor details than most people here, but I truly can't see any difference in quality compared to my previous order. The difference in styling/material might make comparing difficult (went with a heavy fresco this time), but the jacket is phenomenal. I took some measurements as well and it lines up perfectly with my first order, apart from length (I asked for an extra centimeter this time). For those having doubts about the new choice of location, I wouldn't really worry.
