A little bit late for this, but better late the never.
I just want to express my gratitude and thank you for all the advice I recieved through this forum. Being 17, my grade 12 prom was my first encounter to a black tie event and not 100% knowing how to dress for this, I turned to this wesite and thanks to this forum, I was told from many people that I was the best dressed. I rented a navy blue tuxedo with black lapels and paired that with a white tuxedo dress shirt, black self tied bowtie, cummerbund, suspenders, and black patent leather oxfords. Here are some photos, I would like to hear any feedback from you as I will keep in mind for the future.
