What do you think of http://www.mysuitshop.com like for example for Big & Tall custom made single-breasted suits for $150. Do think it's cheap or good price? Spencer Karter Age 18

hmm .. I looked at the site. I added all the hand made jacket options... comes out to be $295US..

I would order swatch (free) first and make sure select the fabric you want. Plus I would get nice photo of suit styleing u desire and send these guys that photo for replication.

I really hope these guys understand english ...

Does this photo creep out anyone else? Spencer, was that your cell mate in prison? The evil look on his face and your expression of surprise leads me to think only one thing... Were you his bitch?

Hi Spencer, You can do better. As much as I'd like to recommend that you have a custom suit crafted for yourself, I think your $180 would be better spent at a thrift shop or on ebay obtaining a quality vintage suit since you're only 18 and still stand the chance of having your body shape change. I have to say that that price is incredibly low for a made-to-measure suit. To give you an idea, you should expect to pay at least five times that amount for your typical MTM suit. Regarding the price- you have to wonder what sort of conditions these suits are being produced in over in Thailand (to say nothing of their quality) for them to be available for this pittance. If, in the end, you opt to try this out have a local tailor take your measurements for you and keep in mind that the very first suit you have made won't be perfect. Approaching a finished product you're happy with will take at least two iterations, likely more. According to their return policy, they'll make adjustments to your suit for you free but you must pay shipping both ways. -Tom

Is it okay if I had the money to buy a custom shirt, off-the-rack suit/sportcoat or necktie online? Why or why not? [IMG] And here's a picture of me at my Senior Prom [IMG] Tell me what do you think about it? Spencer Karter Age 18

You look quite dapper in your prom picture.

I will second the previous opinions - you won't be getting much of a suit for the price and I think it likely you'd regret the purchase in very short order.

Since they describe this shirt as "elegant", I wouldn't trust them... [IMG] But I notice that they do have some shirts with two-button collars -- I believe I've seen that feature before, but usually on better shirts -- what purpose does that serve?

Hi Spencer, Â The advantages to purchasing clothing online are price and availability. The tradeoff is that you probably won't know exactly what you're getting until it arrives. Some people are comfortable with that, others aren't. It all comes down to how much value you put into your clothing and how much you value your money. Â If you search this board, you'll see that the members here employ a variety of methods for getting their clothes. Ebay, thrift shops, and tailors (both online and real world). Take a look around and try to learn from what others are doing. Â I think the suit in your prom picture looks good however the shoulders seem a bit too large and the coat seems like it's a bit long. You should try and find for yourself some style icons for inspiration and borrow what you think are their best qualities. If I had to choose one, I'd go with Lapo Elkann. Take a look at this work of art: [IMG] [IMG] Regards, Â Tom

That was a pretty nasty comment.

Yet I do still wonder if Spencer really exists, or is someone's creation, particularly yet another of a certain someone prone to multiple personalities.

Can you do the IP check?
