What, you don't want to keep one as a cheap tablet type thing?

Playing around with one at the moment. A bit heavy but a decent device for watching news feeds whilst shaving/ etc in the mornings. A nice little app called Glimpse that has several windows of weather, rss feeds, web browser, youtube etc. I also installed CM alpha 2.1 but haven't played with it much. It' s does a reasonable job at the price of POS generic android tablet. Now, if you want to talk about a killer device, I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Note :)

I believe this should work for NYT. Paste it at the end of the URL.

javascript:$('overlay').hide();$('gatewayCreative').hide();$(document.body).setStyle({overflow:'scroll'});

Does anyone make a sturdy case for these? I'm trying to find something that's really durable like those otterbox cases for the iphone, but all google gives me are ****** pleather folios that make it look like a giant moleskine notebook.

Am I the only person that has issues with the charger becoming "unhooked"? Even if my charger is plugged into the Touchpad, it doesn't always charge unless it is perfectly positioned. If I slightly move the Touchpad while it's charging it will lose the connection, so I basically can't use the thing and charge it at the same time. I don't know if the port in the Touchpad is loose or whether my charger just sucks.

I don't have that problem. But I also own the touchstone and it charges quite a bit slower on it. That's kind of annoying.

Have you tried just using another cable?

As for finding a touchpad, start visiting forums for deals (dealforum slickdeals etc) or look at webos websites/forums. It's going to be a bit tough to find one nowadays. Heck, it was really tough getting one period, after they lowered the price. You can also try ebay.

I'm having this problem. Haven't been able to use my unit in over a week because of this. I'm buying a Touchstone to charge it.

I haven't employed the scientific method or anything, but it seems that my TP charges a little slower on the Touchstone if I have it in the case. I had to chuck a no-name leatherette case because half the time the TP wouldn't register as "charging" on the stand. I have the HP case now and it is better. Seemed best without any interference with the stand, though.
