There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I swear HP must be currently run by a bunch of morons.

    Yes.

All I can think of is that HP is going to make TouchPads based on spare parts to get rid of ALL TouchPad inventory.

Dammit... still haven't received any of my orders. 1 from HP 1 from CostCentral. Sheesh... I really hope it'll be ready by mid-september. Have a friend coming to the states that's going to bring it back for me... but she's leaving late sept. ugg

I'm already dreading the inevitable - those that actually placed legitimate orders (and whose orders were cancelled) won't get to go to the front of the line when the new batch is available for sale.

I suspect that's a large part of it. They probably had a lot of deals in place and product in the middle of being built when they announced this. Let's them ride the hype to clear out this excess inventory. I'm most curious if these additional units will still be sold at the firesell price or if they will raise it slightly to not take such a loss per unit.

Now, if I actually thought HP had a clue of what they are doing I would suspect this is part of a plan to raise the value of their WebOS property for sale. Samsung is rumored to be interested in buying it. Not that I have any faith HP is this clever. :foo:

BlackBerry PlayBook price slashed for Labor Day.....and the nation collectively sighed in boredom. Seriously, I'd rather have a DEAD WebOS device than a live BB device haha

Great, CostCentral finally shipped my unit. Still waiting on HP.

I also got an email from OfficeDepot. I had ordered from them but they didn't have any stock. They are getting more and are selling them. I wish I could proxy one if anyone's interested, but I have no means of shipping it to you. Perhaps if you can change shipping... Don't know.

Fucking HP! I got my unit back on Friday. They didn't do a god damn thing to it. Still the exact same problems as before. Unbelievable.
