    Not trying to raise the tone too much or anything, but I am very happy with the way my (lovely, Japanese) wife does dress. She makes a lot of her own clothes, and mixes that up with a bit of Pal'las Palace, 45rpm, Gudrun Sjoden, Marimekko, and Sou-Sou. She's pretty cool and quirky...

She knows her way around a sewing machine though and she makes a lot of our son's clothes as well, plus she's made me a few things, including a modern version of traditional Japanese samue (monastic working jacket) made with heavy cotton printed with Japanese beer labels, and a scarf and a waistcoat or two. This is me wearing the samue (the picture with odd effects was taken by a friend)...
