1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The point being that whatever anybody posts is a valid answer.

Any [x] enthusiast forum is elitist by defintion, it's made of enthusiasts, ya know ? So, yeah anybody post is valid as long as it shows an appreciation for what's discussed in here, has some substance. If you can't figure out what that is, just sit back, enjoy and get some understanding. If you can't sit back and decide to post baseball tees, you get shat on, deal with it.

This is similar to people thinking the premise of waywt is to actually post what they are currently wearing.

    Fucking geniuses up in here.

^ Right on it. In WAYWT we post outfits. In here we post girls' outfits. Weak shit in either is subject to ridicule.

    Here's a contribution.

Let's end this argument with an exercise in 80's excess:

Ron Brown's old 450SL widebody with 24k gold plated wheels and trim. and an 80's babe.

Y'all keep ratcheting up your post count being enthusiastic about what girls wear. I choose to be enthusiastic about women and spend time with them.

Nothing wrong with a bit of S&M look as long as it stops there..

You don't need S&M to be dirty in bed.

^ (3), of course it'd be fun for a girl to dress like that. It's not the point, though. I'm trying to comment on how this thread often crosses the line between "Post Cool Outfits for Women" and "Objectify and Project Your Fantasies Onto Women." I mean, we're taking something that should be about the wearer and making it about ourselves and our desires. Which I guess is the point of a lot of women's clothes, but still, we're educated people and can do better than that. There are a lot of interesting, stylish ways for a girl to dress that aren't specifically for the male gaze. I mean, turn the situation around. Wouldn't it be a little weird if The Fashion Spot had a thread on "How would you like a boy to dress?" in which they posted a bunch of pics of perfectly chiseled guys in speedos?
