How would you dress for humid weather? (w/o jackets)

Hi All,

I'm interested to find out your take on dressing (tops, bottoms, shoes) for perpetually warm weather (26 to 34 degrees Celsius average). I live in SE Asia and that means warm and quite often wet weather all year round. Hoping to get some inspiration, and preferably without jackets!

Details such as brand, fabric or even where to purchase on the styles you recommend would be much appreciated! Even better a pic! Thanks!

You do not suggest the nature of any function to be attended! A beach party demands one approach, the Boardroom table an other.

ah apologies, i meant for casual weekend wear.

Something suitable for perhaps going for a nice brunch or in general hanging out with friends over food & drinks? Mainly in the city area (paved roads), not the beach.

Take it from another denizen of SE Asia - loose fitting linen, and sandals.

That seems right from my experiences in Hong Kong over the years. All I would add is not to burden yourself carrying (not wearing) any form of sports coat/linen jacket. Amongst friends that is totally unnecessary and in itself will simply add to your feeling of being too warm.
