7 or 7.5. I wear 28 trousers so it seems to flow better.

The trousers on the suit I recently received from B&Tailor are around 7.75, but I voted 7.5 as I think my stuff clusters closer there than 8 - Epaulet Walts in 34 seem to end up around 7.75 at a 30-31ish inseam (I didn't measure that). A couple Formosas with 48R pants end up at ~7.75ish from my alternations guy, or 8 as tapered per MTO straight from Formosa. I have a couple pair of summer Boglioli trousers that are probably closer to 7 - those are worn exclusively with unstructured jackets if with a jacket at all. I am a 33.5-34 inch waist.

I have a UK 10 foot, but I don't want lots of fabric flapping around.

Ha, not sure if you're referencing advancing age or the style of boyfriend jeans and now becoming flared. Not sure if we'll get to bell bottom territory, but flowing seems to be the idea or at least comfortable.

I have a wide variety of leg openings on my trousers (pun intended). They range from 7.5” to 10”. I’m wearing the above suit trousers tomorrow. For slim, flat front trousers, I prefer 7.5 to 8.5. For more relaxed, pleated trousers, I prefer 8 to 9.5.

I think it may be helpful to post some pictures of these different leg openings as well. It sounds very philosophical without pictures. Granted, seeing me in a 9.5” in opening may make someone believe that I look good or terrible. It may not translate to them personally. I think it’s difficult to tell how wide a leg opening is from a photo of someone.

Anyway, I’ll try to post my suit tomorrow.

As promised. 30” waist, 38 jacket, 10.5 us shoe, 5’9” tall, 9.75” leg opening here. Not my go to, but I like it. I need to lengthen the sleeves on the jacket. I’ve thought a lot about slimming the pants and am leaning against it at the moment.

I’m around 20 cm / 8 inches for most of my trousers. I wear them with no/slight break. I wouldn’t want them much wider since the current width works well with the length of of my jackets. (Wider trousers with same break => Longer trousers => Longer jackets)

I do 7.75" or 8" on odd trousers. Waist is 30 and shoe size US 9.

I go a little wider for suits, but I haven't ordered a proper suit in such a long time, I'm not sure what I ask for on those. Casual suit trousers I treat like odd trousers.
Based on your Twitter posts, I thought you were into wide trousers these days?
