How versatile is this color for a blazer?

I'm considering this blazer in a lighter shade of blue. The color listed on the fabric is "blueberry" but it appears to be slightly darker than other examples of that color (although lighter than pictured). Does anyone have this color jacket and if so, how versatile is it? mainly looking at this for "business casual" use.

I like the shade of blue. Difficult to tell from a photograph, but I wonder if the fabric has a bit of a shimmer in the daylight? Is there mohair in it?

Are you having this made-up or are you buying OTR? If bespoke/MTM you could have some the details modified so it looks more like an odd jacket (e.g. patch pockets, "brighter" buttons, etc.)

Thanks guys. I ended up buying it. It's 130's wool and Oxxfords Bespoke 2000 line for Loius of Boston. I have another blazer with patch pockets so wasn't really looking for that. I have seen a few other similar blazers from this line and they had the same type of buttons (unless also orphaned). If it doesn't work it will be coming soon to a f/s section near you

Very nice. I love that colour but hate how they use the term 'bespoke' for a RTW jacket. Like my 'factory custom' motorbike!

wtf

Assuming the photos are accurate on my screen, the color isn't necessarily bad, but it's certainly not versatile. It is too saturated to wear with earthier colors, which significantly limits its daytime usefulness. Morever, the fabric texture and design details make the jacket look orphaned from a suit.

I would not buy this as a staple.

A very good color for spring and summer. Navy would be better for the colder months. But you should have different blazers for different seasons, so do it.

I think it can work very well with all shades of beige, medium-light gray and cream colored trousers. In my mind that makes it pretty versatile. I find it tough to pair earthy colored trousers with most jackets anyway for whatever reason.

The texture of it doesn't scream orphaned suit jacket to me any more than Fresco does (and I'm fine with Fresco odd jackets), but the brighter color makes it seem more like a sportcoat. I think it will be fine to use for the OP's purposes.

I think it's just terrific. A great spring/summer blazer! It would look extra cool with MOP buttons. Wear it in good health.

It reminds me of this and he pulls it off well:

And yes, I know that the colour in the picture is probably due to the Sart's saturation.
