Ok, so here's a few pictures of my moth-ball smelling Brioni jacket, circa 1976. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] First of all, I love the damn thing. I think the lapels are beautiful, the texture and piping is cool, and the coat fits extremely well coming out of the box. The only alteration I'll probably make is one of the sleeve lengths. However, the jacket isn't exactly what I expected. When I bought it, I was envisioning dressing it down with jeans, for a very casual look. However, I feel like the Roman silhouette is so structured that it looks a little strange dressed down. Any ideas of how I can create a cool casual look?

    black jeans?

black jeans are not something I like by themselves, but I think it would work with the jacket.

Hmm, I wear my vintage Brioni jacket with jeans, and I think it looks pretty good, you can also think about wearing it with darker flannel pants, I think the material and color should set off the jacket a bit. I sometimes wear a DB Brioni jacket that is similar to yours with jeans or darker slacks.

What a tasteful jacket. You'll have to work very hard to make that look bad.

    The jacket is great.

When you take it to the tailor, you might want to have them suppress the waist a bit. I think it would really make it perfect.

As far as what to wear with it, I would probably choose darker jeans with it.

    Just a suggestion.

I'm thinking reverse of blazer, so Dark Blue pants ? Btw you need to tell your tailor to leave space in your left sleeve for the livestrong band. [IMG]

Definently second the suggestion of getting the waist suppressed a bit. Wear it with a higher-collared checked or striped shirt and zippered pullover/cardigin to complement the stiff collar of the jacket. A pair of indigo boot cut jeans and a chelsea boot and you are good to go.
