How to wear these pants

I picked up a pair of the jcrew bowery pants for cheap, but as you know, even a cheap purchase is not a good one if you don't wear the item.

I tried on these positano (basically blue oxford) pants with a few shirts that I thought would work, and I didn't love it.

Any ideas, pics, or suggestions would be helpful.

yeah, i'm finding similar issues. its a shame because they really do look great on the shelf.

I like the bowery slim pant but they offer so few choices in slim compared to classic that it frustrates me.
