What type of jeans are you going to be wearing them with? Or is that what you're wondering?

I personally don't care much for the straight/slim cut jeans getting paired with high tops. I know that's sort of the trend right now, but it's a look not many people can pull off. Bootcut gets a lot of crap around here, but I think high-tops are an instance in which such a cut of jeans is preferable.

Thanks for the opinion APK. And here, I'll give some more details:
I'm basically wondering about what type of jeans, and how to wear the jeans with them.
I've heard of some people wearing slim cut jeans and tucking the entire jean into the shoe, or wearing bootcut and tucking behind only the tongue, no tuck at all, jeans resting on top, etc.
And also, what to do with those two straps?

A straight leg is as slim as I'd go on high tops like this. Like I said, I know it's the trend to wear slim cuts with high-tops, but I think it's a silly look. Some people can pull it off, but most can't. I guess it comes down to whether you really want people to know you're wearing high-tops or not. If so, then I guess go with a straight cut. You won't get the extreme contrast a real slim leg would, but you'll still be able to tell they're high-tops. If you don't care whether people can tell they're high-tops, then I'd say go with a bootcut.

As for the straps, I'd fasten them. I've got a pair of Nike Vandals with straps. Sometimes I fasten them, other times I don't. No real purpose either way, just like to switch it up.
