Most shirtmakers do a crappy job with cuffs, French or otherwise. They use too much fabric on the outside of the cuff, and that makes it difficult to do a good job ironing. If the shirtmaker uses an appropriate amount of fabric and makes the cuff the way he's supposed to, ironing a non-fused cuff becomes much less difficult.I will have to agree with JN3 there, non fused french cuffs are not only a mess to iron, but really look sloppy.
