How to take care of my clothes/footwear?

I know that I need wax for my shoes, and probably some anti-water thing. What brands are okay to use for a decent pair of shoes?

I know that any detergent isn't good for quality clothes, talking dress shirts in particular here. So what should I use?

How do I store and protect my wool suits from moths?

Is there anything else I should know?

Leather conditioner and heel/sole edge dressing will also have a big impact in keeping your shoes condition.

Machine wash cold and hang dry your cotton dress shirts. Excessive dry cleaning have harmful chemicals that will damage the shirt.

Cedar hangers for suits will prevent moth damage. If you like to keep your suit sealed in a bag, make sure there is a small opening for the suit to breathe. Proper hanger sizes for your suit will also keep its shape.

Uh, I'm not sure what you said about shoecare.

Actually I wash all my clothes by hand, even the poor quality ones. And I have never in my life been to a dry cleaner's. Yet. But I think that's the only way to clean a suit, I'll probably want to clean it monthly or so.

Okay, so I need to buy a proper size hangers for shirts and suit. And I need at the very least suit hanger to be made of cedar. What about these instead of the cedar hanger instead? Do they work as well? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-Russel-...ing_ShoeCare_Shoe_Care_LE&hash=item337fe2e6f2
