How to take care of a shaggy dog

I just bought my first shaggy dog sweater. This thing seems a bit delicate and I'm afraid of just stuffing it into my sweater drawers, as I suspect the nap will get frizzed out. Is there a proper way of storing and taking care of these? Can I pile other sweaters on top of it?

I thought this would be a thread about your dog shagging everything in sight and how to remedy that situation. I'm thoroughly disappointed.

I'm about to post another thread with the same name, but about how my clothes get ruined after I shag my dog. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Maybe not wear linen?

Well now it's getting confusing. It really depends on who is shagging whom... In either case you will need the following items:

Decent suggestions, but I'm going to use Saphir Renovating Cream instead of KY. Nothing else gets that supple look and feel like Saphir, from my experience.

The nap can easily get pilly and overly frizzed out.

Anyone have actual constructive suggestions?

Frizz and pilling is caused by movement, I don't think just storing it in a drawer will affect it negatively.
