How to store/display a wool hat?

I recently acquired a hat that I want to display. It's made of wool. I have never owned a wool hat. Is there any reason I should not put it in a standard hat display case (typically made for baseball-style hats) like found here: http://www.crystalcaseworks.com/Merc...y_Code=CAP-HAT

Would it be better displayed in an open case of some sort where it can "breathe?"

I say you display it on your head when you are strolling around outside.

Why do you want to put it in a case? Is it a piece of memorabilia?

Yes, it is a piece of memorabilia. I will never wear it.
