I'm in the fashion industry and know quite a bit about sourcing fabrics and manufacturing garments. I have recently been enthralled with the world of selvage fabrics. It's so refreshing to see that people do truly believe that your product is only as good as the materials and means used to make it. I'm a sewing junkie and have recently been making and selling some of my own designs on the side. I was incredibly interested in learning more about selvage fabric and how to find manufactures and how to work with them as it seems so specialized. I'm relatively new to all of this and have been researching as much as possible. I haven't been able to find a lot of info and am now on to trying to get help from people who were in a similar place I was at one point. If anyone has any experience in this I would love to hear from you. It is more of a passion project than anything. I don't really care about making money or selling things I figured I might actually loose money in the process! but being able to go through the process of finding the fabric and being able to work with a manufacture would be reward itself. In specifics I am looking for selvage knits and selvage cottons. My goal is to be able to source the fabric and make the garments myself on the vintage machines I own, at least that is the current goal. Thanks in advance anyone who has any information!

I'm familiar with Cone denim, I was looking for knits. I was under the impression they were only a selvage denim manufacturer?
