This isn't a question about how to tie a necktie, rather, how to make one from scratch. I recently started taking classes on leather projects, sneaker building and cooking and was wondering whether anyone has heard of classes that will teach you how to make a necktie. I am not looking to go into the business, just interested in the craft.

Can you sew in a straight line? Do you know some of the common stitches? I can't imagine making a tie is too hard if you have the fabric, lining, pattern, and you are shown how to put the pieces together

Years before I found this forum, I took an old 4" Tie and narrowed it to probably 3" back then.
