I bought a shirt the other day and it has a store mark through the tag to prevent retail returns - I'm assuming it's from a Sharpie or the like...Is there anything I can use to get it out - just curious...
Thanks,

This has come up somewhere before... don't think it is possible, even with Amodex. Never tried it myself.

We always used acetone to remove sharpie marks when I was doing lab benchwork...might want to give that a try. If you don't have access to acetone, I think acetone is the active ingredient in nail polish.

Benzyl Alcohol is the main solvent component of the sharpie ink, so you can attempt to use a strong solvent like IPA 90% (isopropyl Alcohol) or Xylene or Nail Polish Remover. If all else fails use tricholrotrifluoroethane or fluorobenzene (haha, no more skin for Mike).
You have to disolve the ink media in a compatable solvent. I would go with the alcohols as they typically will not react with the dyes of the fabric nor harm the fibers.
