How to remove factory-created wrinkels in Levis 501 Polished Black jeans?

Hi. I love Levis 501 jeans for their fit and for the fact that they are blessedly NOT stretch jeans. And the color that I prefer is Polished Black.

However, for that color, Levis (for some reason) puts in factory-created wrinkles around the front and back pocket areas -- presumably as some sort of style feature.

Is there any way to remove these factory-created wrinkles and smooth out the fabric, so it has the regular flat look of other 501 jeans?

Would a regular iron do it? Dry cleaning, perhaps? Any other ideas? has anyone tried this?

(I know that regular Black 501s do not have these wrinkles, but the Polished Black version comes with much more attractive black stitching and such.)
