How to pack suits

Wedding- flight- need to pack two suits. What’s the best luggage or method???

Look for a garment bag made for traveling. It will have handles so it can be folded in half. It can also have shoe pockets. Amazon has a good selection.

I prefer suit bags but there are several pretty good videos on YouTube. The most interesting method to me is to turn half your coat inside out and then roll it up, but I've never tried it.

I really think suit bags are the best, but they are a pita to lug around.

I watched some of them and really dont trust the ones fitting the suits into a carryon. besides, there are two suits. cant take the chance . I agree with you. suit bag is best

I've traveled from the US to Europe on 4 occasions employing this method of packing my suit
and sport coats in my carry-on and it worked out well.
I do think the fabric of the suit matters but only have my own anecdotal evidence.
I've packed W/S/L, Wool, Linen, and Wool hopsack all with success. None were fully lined.
Most with a butterfly lining.

I packed two suits travelling from America to England and back. Both survived the journey in perfect condition.
I used one of those hefty nylon suit bags that came from Suitsupply and packed each suit within individually in dry cleaners polythene so they slide against each other and don’t cause wrinkles.
When all zipped up the suits are folded into thirds. I unzipped it to lay it flat in the overhead bin during the flights and did similar across the back seat of the rental car for a long drive.
No need for anything more elaborate than that.

When I had to bring several suits I used a rolling garment bag and packed similarly. Again, no issues. Good luck.

I roll mine and use a Steamer. Just make sure it’s a steamer that can handle 240

Yesterday I ordered an MTM sport coat from my tailor and asked him this same question. His answer was the same on using the dry cleaner bag. He has 30+ years experience, so I trust his advice.
