How to NOT look like a groom? or should I even worry about that?

So I will be in a couple of weddings this year and so I decided it's best for me to buy everything instead of rent them. And now I realize that almost everything I need to buy are from groom's shop. So basically I have a tailored tux, tux shirt, bow tie with cummerbund, cufflinks and such... but should I be afraid of looking too much like a groom?

I know it seems to be a stupid question but when I went shopping for dresses with my wife and her girlfriends, they seem to be quite crazy with the idea that they should avoid white dresses at all cost since dressy ones might look like those from the brides!

They are all-day events, ceremony during the afternoon and then formal dinner with cocktail party in the evening.

For the mourning events I would wear a grey suit and for the evening event wear the tuxedo because thats the only proper thing to wear.

Well, wearing a tuxedo won't make you look like a groom per se, but it's probably a good idea to let the groom be the best-dressed man (or at least the most formally dressed) at the wedding. Perhaps a quick word with the respective grooms about what they will be wearing and what expectations they have about your attire (if they expect the gents to wear a tux the same as the groom, then do so) would solve your problem?
