How to match up cognac/light tan shoes?

I'm having trouble matching up my outfit with my pair of AE Soho in Cognac and a pair of Alden in British Tan. They didn't look right with my light grey trousers ,light blue dress shirt and matching belts. I don't wear suit or blazer.

My first post.

Why not try oatmeal, brown, cream, or tan trousers. Light blue shirt and a suitable belt
would probably go nicely. I know that this idea of brown/tan shoes with blue and grey
trousers is widespread, but it never looks quite right to me.

Navy, especially flannel.

they go with almost anything. they probably just look odd because youre not used to them. But they look especially nice with navy, light grey, dark charcoal, etc.

white shirt and burgandy tie would look fine with your light gray trousers and the sohos. not a fan of blue solid shirts without coat/sweater on top.

time to invest. Unacceptable son!

Jeans, shirt and a navy blazer. It all boils down to the wash of the jean IMHO

If no suits/trousers, try cords of just about any color and most any jean that's not nearly black.
