So the show's good? I think they're getting lower than expected ratings because the title of the show is so terrible.
Show is still kinda meh, but the "You know the secret to selling jeans? Cool pockets" guy made me lol
Is it too early to say, "Naner naner boo boo, I told you so!"

I think the show is ok, but could be far more entertaining. Working in the industry I have met hundreds of people like the main characters that would be way more interesting to follow.

I do think it is a cool show though. It is semi accurate to the lifestyle and culture. You think about the challenge's the writers must face attempting to capture such the borad range that this culture represents from skate to high end fashion etc. Not an easy task. I appluad the efforts and look forward to seeing the show progress.

I'm not expecting it to be good. The plot is way too predictable, it's not nearly as funny as it tries to be, etc etc. It's pretty obvious to me that it's an appeal to keep the Entourage crowd seated while HBO is looks for the next hit.

Agreed, I remember saying Meah too about the first couple episodes of Entourage season 1, and then it started getting really good, by season 2 I was lmao every episode.

I also remember seeing in the credits that MW is involded in this show too, so definitely trying to keep the young entourage vibe going with this new show, I do hope it gets better though, wasnt too impressed with the first 2 episodes, and pachanga needs to be more funny in it too, that guy can be funny as shit sometimes.

And then what? Where does SF go from there? What's gonna be the next big thing? (these are mostly rhetorical questions)

Edit: IIRC GQ already did a feature on the whole Americana trend for FW09 or something like that.

I dunno if it really matters. I mean, i do feel bad for people who put all their eggs in the americana/heritage basket thinking it made them unique and different than the crowd. There are some people who really treat it like a lifestyle and are fully devoted to it regardless of what the masses are though.

For the first people i mentioned, i dunno. Probably will be like a fan of a band who makes it big and goes to the show at the big venue with $50 tickets and mobs of people who just started liking their last album (which wasn't very good). Hard to deal with that at first but you just gotta remember why you liked that band in the first place. If it was because of a friend or a girl, then find new music, but if you really liked their first 3-4 albums and really believed in them as a band and musical expression, then keep enjoying their earlier albums but don't feel married to them to where you have to follow their new music if it's that much different. If it's just as good, keep on liking it. Your earnestness will usually be apparent

Well, it doesn't really work when the music artist in question was always terrible [IMG]

Let me know when Self Edge gets mentioned, i haven't watched a TV show in over ten years outside of Mad Men.

You're living an unfulfilled life if you haven't watched The Wire.
