First of all, I'm sorry about my not-so-good english.

I like Converses, and in white (Optical white?) are perfect for wearing it with jeans, I think.

My problem comes when my girlfriend had the idea of gifting me a pair. They are OK in lenght, but so narrow!

I don't have any problem with other brands of shoes, sneakers, boots or anything I'd put in my feet.

Nowadays they're with shoe trees, but seems not to solve the problem...

Any good idea?

They're canvas, they'll stretch... just wear them.

Buy a half size larger and buy an insert that targets the heal and arch only (one that doesn't go all the way up to the toe-box). Chucks are usually only narrow at the toe box and are so much more comfortable with some arch support and cushioning.

Yes, get a new pair. I doubt your girlfriend will notice.

I have the same problem, and only with those shoes. You just have to size up I think.

But if I size up, there will be too long for me...Even when they fit me in width...

I'll try loosing even more my laces, and buying fine-as-smoking paper socks

So what if they're a little long. There isn't that much difference between adjacent sizes.

try wearing them without socks. or making the laces really loose.
