How to make a half-zip sweater collar stay up?

Hi,

I've got a soft cotton half-zip sweater which I really enjoy wearing, with one exception: I can never get the collar to stay 'popped'. After about an hour of wear, it droops like a woman's shirt collar. Is there anything I can do?

Stitch a flimsy plastic collar stay on the inside, should do the trick..
