I am thinking of buying an ice white buck and am wondering how to keep it that color. A chalk bag will make it white white. I am worried I am just inviting disappointment. Thanks in advance for advice.

Accept the fact that white never stays white. Once you get a few scuffs on them they'll actually look better than out of the box.
Even scuffed, the effect of the white will still be working. The only way to keep them looking like new is to never wear them.

Correct. Please don't wear white shoes. It's a win-win situation. They won't scuff, and nobody will have to look at them.
