How do you judge the quality of a linen shirt?

I know how to compare different wool qualities and cotton, but when it comes to linen i have no feeling.
I have two linen shirts which i am sure are of very different quality relating to the retail prices

. The cheap (some german house brand) one feels kind of soft and very light, whereas the other (Adriano Fracassi) feels very stiff an a little heavier.
Besides quality the AF shirt has pattern matching and is cut far far trimmer than the other one and it did not loose any dye after the first wash, what really surprised me as i expected it to loose colour given the shade of blue.

I am sure this topic has been discussed somewhere but i could not find what i was searching for. So if anyone knows where i can find a proper answer point me on that.

thanks for reading,
