How to get rid of bubbling?

I have a really nice Avignon Clothing short-sleeve button down shirt that is my favorite s/s button down. Fits me wonderfully. Trouble is, the collar is bubbling. I don't know what I did wrong...but is there any way to get rid of this? Drycleaning perhaps? Steaming? I re-washed it by hand and hung it to dry, but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

I suspect the answer is to get a new shirt.

The problem is clearly substandard fusing. Drycleaning is guaranteed to make it a lot worse. This sort of dodgy fusing is what gives fusing shirt collars and cuffs a bad name.

I've had this happen, too . . . on some of my most expensive rtw shirts. I've read that puckering is sometimes a sign of handwork . . . at least on men's suits. I have never ever seen so much as a facsimile of a 'bubble' on any vintage collars or lapels, vis a vis YSL'S clothes, for women. Either live with the bubbles, or retire the shirt.
