How to get a tight crease in a wool scarf?

Do any members have a recommendation on how to get a tight crease in a wool scarf at home without damaging the fibers? I have a few wide lambswool scarves which I like to fold widthwise and have creased when dry cleaned but the crease often looses its sharpness after a few wearings. I have tried to press them at home with an iron but I have difficulty getting the type of crease I want without matting the fabric. Any advice would be appreciated.

Well I too have not seen them offered with creases but I request them at the dry cleaners.

the weaves softness in a scarf is what makes it so comfortable. also thats why it will not hold a crease. if it were hard enough to hold a crease you would not want to wear it. try having hard creases pressed in. then have a tailor sew in the creases.

Thank you for that suggestion. I have a pair of very soft Grant Thomas pants that have 10% cashmere and they still hold their cease. How exactly would the tailor sew in the crease and can you do that with pants also?

A crease would look graceless and pretentious.

In fact, when storing my scarves, I carefully open them out full-width and fold them intentionally so they won't develop a crease.

I think that trying to look graceful could be considered pretentious in the business world. I am happy to look neat and professional while adding my own subtle touches even if I am the only one who notices.
